Anash of Los Angeles, CA gathered at Cheder Menachem, the Chabad Elementary boy’s school, for the 9th annual Chayolei Tzivos Hashem Grand Expo. In connection with the 200th anniversary of his passing, this year’s theme celebrates the life and times of the Alter Rebbe.
A record 17 units utilized their free time over the past 6 weeks to research and develop their exhibit’s theme. Each Chayol’s talents and creativeness came to life as they brainstormed ways to bring out these messages in the most creative manner.
Well over 300 parents and community members came to show their support. Everyone was encouraged to view and vote for each exhibit, both on its theme and creativity. Attendees were blown away at how well-versed each member of each unit were, as well as the clarity in their explanation of each model.
“My son taught me about his theme while he was making it – things I never knew about the Alter Rebbe,” said one enthusiastic parent, as he helped his son bring his exhibit into the Cheder building. Commenting on the voting ballot, another parent wrote, “You can see how each child was reliving the events of his exhibit – his excitement and enthusiasm in explaining the events brought it all to life!”
The exhibits were left overnight to allow the Cheder’s talmidim that were unable to attend the night before, to be able to view the exhibits.
It is the Cheder’s hope that this event gave the Rebbe, as well as everyone who benefited from the event much deserved nachas, further hastening the coming of Moshiach Tzidkeinu speedily in our days.
