There are many things on the famous Las Vegas Strip – kosher wasn’t one of them. Up until now.
Chabad rabbis are providing the supervision for a new eatery that opened on the scenic Las Vegas Boulevard South, one of the most popular destinations for tourists.
Located at the Hawaiian Marketplace on the Strip, it is certified by Rabbi Shea Harlig and Rabbi Tzvi Bronchtain of Chabad of Southern Nevada and the Vaad Hakashrus of Las Vegas, as well as Rabbi Yaakov Wasser of Congregation Shaarei Tefillah.
Kosher Gourmet Restaurant & Bakery, serving up a menu of authentic Mediterranean cuisine and healthy vegetarian dishes, will also be catering to the many frum businessmen there for trade shows.
The owner is Yehezkel Rozenstein who owned a restaurant in Israel before moving to Nevada 3 years ago. “I was told so many times ‘we need kosher on The Strip,'” he said. “The last time there was such a place here was maybe 10-15 years ago.”
He said food will be made fresh daily and that the pita, laffa and baguettes will be baked on premises.
Until now, kosher observant visitors to the area needed to purchase ready to eat kosher food at Albertson’s Market or have take-out delivered to their hotel from kosher restaurants in other areas, often arriving cold.
“Our goal is to strive to be the best,” Rozenstein said, pointing out that “we are also the only restaurant in the area with lamb shawarma.”

WHAT????? Kosher swarma and schnitzel in Las Vegas???? Baruch HaShem!!!! Finally! Now THAT is what we have been missing. Brilliant. Must have been divinely inspired when deciding the menu.
Or to do business. Many frum Jews come through Las Vegas every year. How else would the restaurant stay afloat?
Only thing I am wondering is why every new restaurant that opens in Las Vegas needs to be Israeli style.
You are obviously very very naive. There are many, many conventions that take place in Las Vegas, an any type of business that someone can be in. In addition, many Orthodox people have moved there because of housing prices, which have escalted in many parts of the country, and the infrastructure is in place BECAUSE of the shluchim…school, shuls, mikvah etc. In addition, it is actually a nice place to visit for a short vacation, inexpensive, and relaxing. Therefore, I would like to know exactly why you feel that Las Vegas is not a place for Orthodox Jews. I am… Read more »

the only reason for a frum person to be in vegas, especially on the strip,is if they’re on shlichus there.
I want to eat at every Israeli restaurant in America and see if any one of them actually tastes different.
I am going to eat there soon and it will not be a gamble.
