A known thief is wanted after he smashed a car window Sunday morning in Crown Heights.
The incident occurred near Montgomery Street and Brooklyn Ave at approximately 7:15AM when the perpetrator threw a rock at the car’s window and stole cash and other valuables.
He is known to Crown Heights Shmira and is one of the latest thieves who operate in Crown Heights. He usually pulls on car handles and steals from the unlocked car he gains access to.
He seems to have escalated to breaking car windows in desperation to fund his drug addiction. He also trespassed into a property and stole a carriage on Friday morning. He is also known to carry weapons on him.
Do not become a victim. Shmira highly recommends to not leave any valuable items in your car and make sure the car is locked.

He belongs in a locked up long term facility. Either prison or mental institution, whichever.
He used physical force (ie.violence) against somebody’s property.
