Kingston Avenue sewer replacement work, which has closed main thoroughfare Kingston Avenue from President Street until Eastern Parkway during the daytime, is set to be completed ahead of schedule, Crown Heights activist Chanina Sperlin has informed.
During construction, streets are closed to through traffic during working hours – Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Saturday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. All traffic is diverted to make a left on to President Street. A single lane reopens each evening after work concludes.
The project was expected to be completed by September 15th, ahead of the Tishrei Yomim Tovim. Sperlin has informed that the work is set to be completed before Labor Day, ahead of schedule.
Final repaving and restoration of Kingston Avenue is scheduled to take place after Tishrei.
Thanks for the update!
I give it 6 months or less before they need to dig it up again.
Why not just get the repaving over and done with now, instead of closing down the streets again??
Where are they now?
Why they can’t finish the project after Labor Day? Why they want to leave all mess for us and the guests?
Done job? It looks like africa!! The roads have your car bouncing up and down………
You gotta keep the car mechanics in business…
thank you for the update
