Kingston Avenue sewer replacement work begins today, June 23rd, which will close main thoroughfare Kingston Avenue from President Street until Eastern Parkway from 7 am to 6 pm until Friday.
During construction, streets will be closed to through traffic during working hours – Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Saturday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. All traffic will be diverted to make a left on to President Street. Emergency vehicles and local deliveries will be allowed access. A single lane will reopen each evening after work concludes.
The streets on those blocks are also no parking – tow away zones until Friday.
The project is expected to be completed by September 15th, ahead of the Tishrei Yomim Tovim.
Final repaving and restoration of Kingston Avenue is scheduled to take place after Tishrei.
