Winner of the second “Jewish Kids Got Talent” competition will be chosen live by judges and guests at Tzivos Hashem’s 31st Annual Dinner.
The 9 finalists will be performing and showcasing their talents on January 16 at the Dinner to be held at the Hilton in New York.
Jewish music superstar Avraham Fried will appear as one of the judges, and will perform with the Freilach Orchestra.
Comedian Modi will serve as Master of Ceremonies and there will also be a performance by The Sparks Choir, who will be featuring a new single. The Sparks will be joined by singer Moshe Hecht.
“We promise you an evening of fun, entertainment, and a few exciting surprises,” organizers said.
WINNER TO BE CHOSEN
Over the last few months, thousands of Jewish children from all over the world sent in their submissions in three categories; Head – Achievement, Heart – Chesed and Hand –Performance.
The public, together with a panel of judges, decided who the 9 finalists are. Guests at the gala show will have the final say on who is the overall winner of Jewish Kids Got Talent 2012 through an interactive voting system.
The finalists competing for the title in the category of Achievement are Chaya Mushka Moscowitz from Northbrook, IL, the Lowenthal Kids, from Copenhagen, Denmark and Devorah Scop from Mill Valley, California.
Those in the chesed category are, Malky Levy from Cincinnati OH, brothers Hersh Meyer and Moshe Ringel of Monsey NY, and Chana Cunin from Reno NV.
And lastly, the finalists in the Performance category are, Yisroel Blesofsky of Queens, NY, Shifra Pewzner also of New York and Mendel Slavin who will be traveling all the way from Sydney, Australia to participate.
These children will be competing for their share in over $10,000 worth of prizes, for themselves and for a non-profit organization of their choice.
NEW CHAIRMAN
As reported on COLlive.com, the event will also be inaugurating a Chairman of the Board of Tzivos Hashem – Jewish Children International, the foremost worldwide organization serving the physical and spiritual needs of Jewish children worldwide.
Yossi Popack, Brooklyn real estate proprietor and a known philanthropist and supporter of Chabad causes, is replacing the late Stanley Ellberger, founder of Partner’s Mortgage and the HiDef home theater company.
Popack and his family have always had a close connection to Tzivos Hashem, the organization’s Executive Director Rabbi Yerachmiel Benjaminson said. “His children have been receiving magazines, attending programs and enjoying their many projects since an early age.”
As Chairman, Popack will be involved in the continuance of this wonderful organization and be involved in its growth as it moves forward into its 31st year.
The Jewish Kids Got Talent Concert Gala is co-sponsored by Israevents, The Jewish Press, Kosherica, Powercom and The Saber Team, All Car – Rent a car and Elite Sterling.
