Kids’ Special Night of Light

This past Thursday night, the Jewish Children’s Museum was transformed into a glistening wonderland of blue and silver.

Upon arrival, the 300 guests and 100+ volunteers were treated to Friendship Circle bags and craft tags. Children were invited to dress up as dreidels and pose with their families in front of the Friendship Circle step and go.

On the Lower Level, volunteers manned a range of craft booths, including CD dreidel making, sand art, foam art and donut decorating.

The second floor hosted a generous milchig buffet dinner spread. Families enjoyed the assortment of mini pizzas, eggplant parmesan, garlic knots, latkes, donuts, fries and other tasty foods. The giant Menora filled with chocolate coins and dreidels was lit by FC’s own Yehuda Reichman under the guidance of Rabbi Mendy Nemes.

Chaim Fogelman, with his well loved booming voice and guitar took over the show and had all the children singing and dancing along to his music.

A special thank you to the FC volunteer directors, Mushky Gurevitch and Chana Raizel Abromowitz, who arranged and coordinated that all the families had volunteers at the program.
