Despite torrential rain, a crowd of children joined their own Simchas Beis Hashoeva in Crown Heights on Wednesday night, led by Rabbi Levi Goldstein.
The program was held in memory of Rabbi Shmarya Katzen OBM, founder of the kids Simchas Beis Hashoeva and veteran teacher at Lubavitch Yeshiva on Crown Street.
Rabbi Goldstein spoke about Rabbi Katzen’s founding and running of the Mesibos Shabbos and other children’s programs, such as the Kids Simchas Beis Hashoeva, for over 35 years.
Rabbi Goldstein related that Rabbi Katzen led the children’s programs with great dedication and devotion, never tiring and always showing great love to all the children, while instilling love of Hashem and love of Yiddishkeit in all he met.
The kids program will continue tonight, Thursday night of Chol Hamoed at 7 pm with live music by musician Fitche Benshimon.
Sponsored by Benshimon Band, Crown Heights Urgent Care and All My Children Daycare.
Shmuly Hurwitz as musical artist, enlivening the crowd with life and song!
