A spirited group of 2nd graders of the Hebrew Academy – Chabad in Huntington Beach, California with their teachers Morah Rochie Popack, Morah Ronya Fajnland and Mrs. Lauren Walder took an exciting trip to nearby Home depot in Westminster.
The Home Depot sponsored and prepared all the materials needed to put together each child’s very own Chanukah menorah. Adults and children alike enjoyed taking part in this project.
The staff members at Home Depot did a tremendous job creating the festive atmosphere and later mentioned that this was the best behaved group that they had ever hosted!
While the menorahs were drying the children relished their Sufganiot and sang Chanukah songs with Rabbi Avremi Popak to the delight of the staffers and onlookers.
The children went away extremely proud of their own handiwork and the Kiddush Hashem they made.
Great day!!!!
