On the 8th evening of Chanukah, Adath Israel Synagogue, Upper Midwest Merkos Chabad Lubavitch and popular Keg and Case Market, a food venue for multiple vendors in S. Paul, held a Menorah Lighting Chanukah event.
Skillfully organized by Rabbi Mayer Rubinfeld, scores of people of all ages, from all over the Twin Cities came to celebrate Chanukah.
After Rabbi Rubinfeld welcomed the crowd and shared a Chanukah message, Rabbi Asher Zeilingold of Adath Israel addressed the crowd.
Rabbi Menachem Mendel Feller shared a bit of the Chanukah story and some lessons to be learned. Rabbi Rubinfeld then introduced Officer Ratley representing the SPPD and the chief to kindle the shamosh.
Mr. David Kadosh, proprietor of House of Halva at the venue, was invited to light the Menorah. The attendees enjoyed Chanukah refreshments and hot apple cider. The Chanukah picture booth was a big hit.
Many menorahs were distributed in addition to the other mivtzoyim. Minnesota Jewry enjoyed the warmth and light of Chanukah.
The event was sponsored by House of Halva and Spinning Wylde.
