The Jewish Learning Institute’s teen division welcomed over 45 Chabad Houses around the world for their acceptance into the JLI Teens Program.
On Sunday afternoon, JLI Teens affiliates gathered in Crown Heights to collaborate and train for the upcoming semesters.
The event included sessions in pedagogy, strategies for connecting with teenagers, professional sales training, marketing/recruitment tips, and opportunities for fund-raising.
“The lack of Jewish education for high school students is a huge void in the Jewish world. After Bar/Bat Mitzvah their minds are developing to the point where they start asking questions – now is the time to engage them,” said JLI Teens director Rabbi Benny Rapoport.
After an inspirational speech by Rabbi Chaim Mentz of Bel Air, new and returning affiliates left with increased knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to engage and educate on of the most challenging demographics in Chabad Shlichus: teenagers.
JLI Teens pioneers dynamic and professional curriculum geared towards teenagers, making Judaism relevant and meaningful.
