Jewish Woman Killed in Car Accident in Sunny Isles Beach

A Jewish woman was killed in Florida Monday afternoon, by a car that struck her while crossing a street in Sunny Isles Beach.

Sunny Isles Beach Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the scene in the area of 159th Street and Collins Avenue just before 4:30 p.m., Monday.

According to police, a woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a vehicle. The driver stayed on the scene.

The victim has been identified as 54-year-old Margot Solomon from Miami.

Chesed Shel Emes of Florida volunteers were dispatched to the scene to assist in preparing for burial.
