On November 9, 2025, Bris Avrohom celebrated its 46th Annual Dinner.
In the 46 years of its activities, Bris Avrohom has established 3 branches in New Jersey, with its headquarters at Congregation Shomrei Torah Ohel Yosef Yitzchok in Hillside. The organization also boasts of other institutions such as Cheder Yaldei Menachem in Hillside, Mikvah Batsheva Chaya Esther in Hillside, Fair Lawn Jewish Day camp, and Camp Gan Israel in Hillside. They have branches and activities in NY, Ukraine, and Israel, and have helped over 35,000 people.
This year’s Guests of Honor were Shlomi and Gil Adoni, two brothers who have been staunch sponsors of Bris Avrohom for over two decades.
The Young Leadership Award was presented to Mrs. Sara Gila Gutnick and Mrs. Mussie Zakheim, who are credited for the inauguration and establishment of Camp Gan Israel in Hillside/Elizabeth. The camp gives working parents the ability to leave for their jobs each morning, knowing their children are taken care of in a warm and safe environment.
The Hakaros Hatov award was presented to Mr. Daniel Matrese for his dedication to Bat Sheva Chaya Esther Mikvah.
The Community Service Award was presented to Senator Renee C. Burgess, the representative in Trenton, for her concern for the safety and well-being of the children at the pre-school.
Also honored were couples from the former Soviet Union who celebrated their religious marriage and affirmation of vows, at the 38th annual Gala Weddings known as “Celebrations of Religious Freedom”. To date, 993 couples have been married at the Gala Weddings.

Good to see you Dovid – still looking really young!
