A Jewish man was punched during an altercation at a subway station in Brooklyn on Thursday afternoon, the NYPD confirmed.
Bystanders said it was unclear how the dispute started, but it ended with a man punching a Jewish man in the face.
The two men were standing on the platform in the Franklin Avenue Subway station. The Jewish man was transported to the hospital.
A source said the case is being handled by the New York City Transit Police which is part of the New York Police Departement.
The police official told COLlive.com that the case is not being investigated as a hate crime at this time.
