A Jewish man was assaulted on Wednesday evening while riding the subway after taking a picture that triggered the perpetrator.
The incident occurred in Crown Heights when the suspect became enraged and attacked the victim, causing visible injuries. She also spat at the victim’s friend while shouting, “You Jew,” and threatened to “break your face” and “take your yarmulkes.”
Bystanders intervened, preventing the victim from defending himself. When the train pulled into the station, police officers were present and, after a brief investigation, the perpetrator was placed under arrest.
