Witnesses have been urged to come forward after a “shocking unprovoked” attack on a young boy in Stamford Hill left him severely beaten.
An eight-year-old has been left “traumatized” and required treatment in hospital, after the incident which has been reported to the police as assault.
In a series of posts on Twitter, Orthodox neighborhood watch group Shomrim reported that the unnamed boy “ran home & up all the stairs before collapsing. He was crying and couldn’t talk for the next 4.5 hours”, following the attack.
After being treated by volunteer ambulance service Hatzolah, he was “taken to hospital due to swelling and marks near his chest, neck, shoulder and face.
“The young boy described how a white man wearing gloves attacked him from behind, pushed him to the wall and beat him severely”.
Calling it a “shocking incident”, the group said they are supporting him and his family, as well as assisting with the investigation.
