This week we mark 11 years since the horrific terror attack in Mumbai, in which Pakistani terrorists murdered 164 innocent men, women and children in hotels, cafes and on the street.
Targeted as well was the Chabad House of Mumbai, led by Shluchim Rabbi Gabi and Rivky Holtzberg, who together with their four Jewish guests were held hostage and brutally murdered.
Marking 11 years since the attack, many have been visiting the renovated Chabad Center, now directed by Shluchim Rabbi Israel and Chaya Kozlovsky.
Among the visitors this week was Dedi Simchi, Israel’s Fire and Rescue Services commissioner, along with a delegation, who toured the Chabad Center with Rabbi Kozlovsky.
The tour was attended by local Mumbai firefighter Prabat Rahangdala and Ya’akov Finkelstein, Israel’s Consul General in Mumbai.
At the end of the tour, Rabbi Kozlovsky offered the members of the delegation the opportunity to put on Tefillin in memory of the kedoshim.
The commissioner was subsequently interviewed by the local media.
