In a joint statement, the IDF and Shin Bet said Tuesday afternoon that Israeli operatives worked through the Air Force to carry out a targeted attack on the top leadership of the Hamas terrorist organization.
“The members of the leadership who were attacked led the terrorist organization’s activities for years, and are directly responsible for carrying out the October 7 massacre and waging the war against the State of Israel,” the statement said.
“Prior to the attack, steps were taken to minimize harm to uninvolved people, including the use of precision weapons and additional intelligence information. The IDF and Shin Bet will continue to act with determination to defeat the Hamas terrorist organization responsible for the October 7 massacre.”
Doha has long been home to some of the highest-ranking leaders of the Hamas terrorist organization.
Israeli officials confirmed to Axios that an attempt was made to eliminate Hamas leaders Khaled Meshaal, Moussa Abu Marzouk and Khalil al-Haya.
According to Israel’s KAN News public broadcaster, the following Hamas leaders were eliminated in today’s strike:
Khaled Meshaal, Khalil Al Hayya, Zaher Jabarin, Moussa Abu Marzouk, Hussam Badran, and Tahar Anunu.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, top Israeli defense officials, IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and Israel Air Force Commander Tomer Bar were gathered in two locations to monitor the progress of the operation, named “Operation Summit of Fire” by the Defense Ministry.
The U.S. Embassy in Doha issued a “shelter-in-place” order for the embassy as well as for Americans across Qatar following Israel’s assassination of Hamas leadership in the country.
“U.S. citizens are advised to shelter-in-place and monitor U.S. Embassy Doha social media for updates,” the advisory read.

Mossad and usa had guaranteed qatar that israel wouldnt do it. Mossad wasnt involved in the bombing which was very strange. Barnea of mossad had been involved in hostage negotiations.

The attack was coordinated to where their phones were. They left their phones and went to pray in another room so were saved.
