Is Bibi back?
Results of early exit polls taking during Tuesday’s national elections in Israel are pointing to a possible and dramatic comeback for former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The results, taken from 70 strategic polls across Israel, show the right-wing and religious parties reaching 61 to 62 seats in the 120-seat Knesset.
That would allow Netanyahu, leader of the Likud who was outed in June 2021 by a coalition led by Naftali Bennet and Yair Lapid, to claim victory and return to office. Netanyahu has been Israel’s longest-serving premier.
Formal counting of the ballots will begin soon and continue through at least Thursday, which will include the soldiers and overseas diplomats votes.
Some Likud members were already quick to rejoice. “The State of Israel is returning today to sanity,” said Danny Danon, a candidate who served as Israel’s Ambassador at the United Nations in New York.
Leaders of the religious parties also celebrated their return to power, after being demonized by opposition parties in recent months.
“We reached a great achievement and we will soon return to leading the country,” said Shas chairman Aryeh Deri of the Sephardic haredi party. “We will work with all our might for the lower class, strengthening the Jewish identity of Israel and battling high living costs.”
Members of Lapid’s party, Yesh Atid, expressed home that “until the morning, the results will change.” They insisted they won’t form a coalition with Netanyahu.
If the exit polls are accurate, Netanyahu won’t need them. The Likud would be able to form a majority with the Religious Zionist Party led by Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir, Shas, and United Torah Judaism.
It seems like the Jewish Home party, led by Minister of Interior and once-rising right-wing star Ayelet Shaked, has not passed the threshold.
The election committee updated that by 10:00 PM the voting rate was 71.3% – the highest since 2015, Ynet reported.
These results are far from final, and as the votes are counted, we can expect to see changes, especially if the Balad party passes the electoral threshold.

Please Gd don’t let him win
bibi is the answer !!!! yay!!!
Even though we must vote for who we hope will be the best candidate, we must put our faith in Hashem and not in any politician and fall for the election campaign propaganda to think that this or that politician is going to be our savior and “is the answer”. B”H the people in Eretz Yisroel did their part and elected a government which Bezras Hashem will provide a much higher level of security resulting in reduced terror, and reduced the current racism and antisemitism against the Torah following public. AND we Daven to Hashem that this is the direction… Read more »
Very little to add, except that may Hashem bring about that soon Netanyahu can hand the keys over to Melech Hamoshiach!
Finally!!
Bibi will carve up and give away the little that remains of Jewish Chevron after his last giveaway. Along with Chevron, there goes Yehuda, Shomron, the Jordan Valley and Golan. And kiss Israel’s economy goodbye.
If he forms with Religious Zionism, they’re not giving Hebron or Gush Etzion away.
We don’t know the future and we don’t put our בטחון in politicians. It’s not that Bibi ח”ו “will carve up”, or that with Religious Zionism we are secure, and we know that he won’t. Perhaps a better way to say it is: Bibi in the past carved up and gave away Chevron, we can’t fully trust him, and we hope this won’t be repeated. We Daven to Hashem that Religious Zionism* is part of the government, and that they stay strong and prevent Bibi from caving and giving the remainder of Chevron etc. (*name of the party that is… Read more »
If he forms a gov’t with haredi parties, they will vote to give everything away for a few shekels. Remember Azza. Never could have happened without Haredi agreement.
