Ishay Ribo Fills United Palace Theater in Manhattan

Last Sunday evening, Zos Chanukah, at the United Palace Theater in Manhattan, the large crowd welcomed to the stage with wild cheering Israeli sensation Ishay Ribo, dressed in his trademark dark gray shirt, strumming a simple acoustic guitar, his eyes closed in fervent devotion, singing his original compositions of Hashem’s praises. This was a beautiful concert and filled with holiness with NO mixed seating. Kol Hakovod to MBD for not singing at mixed crowds. All concerts should be like this! with a section just for families and then separate.

after that you will say like the poilisher to have only men concerts meaning there will be no entertainment for women 2.there will never be small concerts because they have to get a theater that has 2 or 3 floors every time 1 for men 1 for women and according to you 1 for family the way it worked until now was good 1 side for men 1 side for women 1 side for family so because they need a big theater with two or 3 floors it would cost more expensive for the theater so the tickets will also… Read more »

I dont think any one is implying that. All we are saying is that unfortunately many frum cocnerts have become not much different than non jewish concerts. This was a beautiful concert.

It was so nice to have separate seating where our whole group was able to dance and have knowing we were in code with halacha eyc..etc.

#1 a menorah was lit but dw they announced that according to Ashkenazi custom we will not say a bracha

#2 ishay ribo and his band spent shabbos at the ohel that week
