Local Realtor Diana Blue will be featured on HGTV’s “House Hunters” today and Friday, taking viewers on a tour of several Forestbrook area homes, The Sun News reported.
Blue, an agent with RE/MAX Palmetto Properties and principal of Chabad Academy in Myrtle Beach, SC, said the show contacted her on her blog last year and she decided to apply. She couldn’t believe it when she found out she had been picked.
“I felt like it was a scam, and then I was just excited, nervous,” she said.
The half-hour show, which takes viewers through the experience of finding and buying a home, was filmed in November 2007. Camera crews followed Blue and home buyers Sarah and Kelly Geyer as they went through three houses.
“It took all day to shoot one house,” Blue said. “You would just have no idea it would take that long to film a 30-minute show.”
She hopes the show will give her more exposure in the real estate market.
“I’m a single parent, a school principal, and I’ve been a Realtor now for four years. I’ve hung on in a tough market,” she said. “I’m really excited that it’s me, little me.”
The show will air at 10 p.m. today and at 2 a.m. Friday, according to HGTV’s Web site. This is at least the third time that “House Hunters” has filmed along the Grand Strand.
