What about the prep?

Like #1 I was wondering why isn’t the prep time considered the havlo? Do you know how many prep hours goes into a chazen davening? weekly voice training, going through the whole davening multiple times etc.

go Dovid Caytak!

Cantors, rabbis, torah readers, babysitters, mashgichim, etc. are all working on shabbos. If they do some preparations when it’s not shabbos to prepare for the job, the payment is considered havlah. I knew this for years.
