This Thursday, the 5th night of Chanukah- כ״ח כסלו/ December 18- at 4:00 PM, following the lighting at 770, Oholei Yosef Yitzchok Lubavitch invites the children of Crown Heights and their families to a Public Menorah Lighting followed by an interactive Chanukah party at Binyan Sheleg, 333 Albany Ave between Eastern Pkwy and Union St.
The program is geared for children ages 3–9, with all children accompanied by an adult, and is free of charge.
As a special Chanukah treat, the first 100 children to arrive will receive a $2 bill as Chanukah gelt.
A highlight of the afternoon will be a lively performance by the beloved “Twin from France,” followed by 5 interactive Chanukah workshops where children can decorate donuts, design dreidels, roll their own shamash, build edible menorahs, and make a real natural lip balm. Each activity is designed to keep children engaged, moving, and smiling. The event will conclude with a lively Children’s Rally, featuring the 12 Pesukim and fun prizes.
