We are OPEN for business
CHJCC is open and available to answer any questions you may have during this difficult time. Our phone numbers are 718-771-9000 and 718-778-8808. If your call is not answered immediately, leave a message and your call will be returned. We can help you apply for benefits (like new unemployment claims). Most benefits will continue without interruption through the emergency
For immediate needs due to the emergency call the Gedaliah Society Hotline
The Gedaliah Society hotline can help with a multitude of immediate needs, especially for shut-ins and the elderly. Please call the hotline at (212) 901-2000 and a volunteer will try to help.
We are trying to make sure everyone has food for Pesach.
All the regular organizations are working as usual to provide food to families for Yom Tov — Mrs. Scheiner, Rabbi Spielman, Chamah, Oneg Shabbos, CHJCC food pantry, and Yossi Popack (matzah and wine). We are trying to organize distributions safely so there should be no crowds. If you are still not able to get food for Yom Tov, please call us and we will help you get help somewhere.
We can order a full delivered Seder for a single or couple.
Since there is lots of uncertainty about guests on Seder night and there will likely be no public sedarim, UJA Federation has ordered full seder meals for delivery to your home (only one night per person). If you want to order a meal for yourself or for someone you usually host, please email name and address and number of people IMMEDIATELY to [email protected]. We must have the full count by 4pm Wednesday March 25th.
Meals will be catered by Foremost, Star-K hechsher and are not Gebroks.
Thank you to Hatzalah of Crown Heights for saving so many lives in the crisis!
