“If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.” –Psalms 137:5
A platform adopted by the Democratic Party at their national convention does not state that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, unlike in the past.
The 70-page manifesto adopted in Charlotte, North Carolina, has a section titled “The Middle East” which derives from the wording they presented in 2008.
The 3-paragraph section details the President Barack Obama administration’s policy towards Israel—including boosting security assistance—but not a word about Jerusalem, Judaism’s holiest city.
Such an omission provide an opening to Republicans as Jewish voters—particularly in the battleground state of Florida—are key to the election, the Wall Street Journal reported.
In a statement, presidential contender Mitt Romney said: “It is unfortunate that the entire Democratic Party has embraced President Obama’s shameful refusal to acknowledge that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital.”
To be fair, the Republican Party’s 2012 platform also has changes to what they included in their 2008 platform. Jerusalem is indeed mentioned, but the line about “moving the American embassy to that undivided capital of Israel” was out.
listen to the song God is alive in Jerusalem. If obama YIMACH SHEMO has a problem with Yerushalayil than he certainly has a problem with HASHEM

Ok so now we see that the Democratic machine is against yiden and Yideshkait,Erets Yisroel etc. you would think that at this point the so called g’dolim would come out and tell us to vote Obama out of office, but just watch as it comes closer to the Election and Obama and his Machine will wave some Dollar bills and all the Chareidim will run and hang up Kol Kores that l’man Hashem we MUST vote for Obama. KI HASHOCHAD YEAVEIR
Mitt is the right president especially for Israel everyone needs to vote for him
Democrats, just put Jerusalem and G-d back in their platform
In any case its good time we realize how dumb these democrats are and throw them out of office.
he is plain and simply bad for the Jewish state and Jewish people … if you think otherwise, wake up from your slumber and avoid the nightmare chas v’sholom.
Than why not include it as part of their platform.
But that’s just it, it’s merely semantics to you and NOT to the Demokratzik party.
mere antisemantics
The Republican statement of secure defensible borders is important, as opposed to Obama’s call to return to the ’67 green line. Including Jerusalem is significant but not including Jerusalem is even more telling!
Has anyone actually read the party platforms? Republican Platform: “We support Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, with secure, defensible borders; and we envision two democratic states – Israel with Jerusalem as its capital and Palestine – living in peace and security.” Democratic Platform: “It is precisely because of this commitment that President Obama and the Democratic Party seek peace between Israelis and Palestinians. A just and lasting Israeli-Palestinian accord, producing two states for two peoples, would contribute to regional stability and help sustain Israel’s identity as a Jewish and democratic state.” Both platforms call for a two-state… Read more »
they didn’t mention g-d either
