Crown Heights businessman Shaya Gordon is making the cold New York winter warmer for local children.
With the help of Lubavitch entrepreneur Schneur Bistritzky, Shaya was introduced to Michael Rosenberg of Hawke & Co. Michael has graciously donated hundreds of coats for children in the neighborhood that will be given through the local schools & via a confidential email address.
In 2014 Shaya started giving away coats and told COLlive.com at the time that after noticing quite a few children walking to school without proper winter coats, he teamed up with two friends and purchased hundreds of coats in various sizes and styles.
If you or someone you know needs a coat for their child please send an email to: [email protected] and let them know the size and gender and a call back number.
Someone will contact you with a convenient pick up location of your choice (your child’s school, a local store, etc.). Supplies of some sizes are limited.
How special. Thank you
May I ask up until what size boys coats do you have? Many kind thanks for allowing us dignity
Thanks for posting.
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, Proud of you Schneur Bistritzky. May you continue to constantly do good
So kind of you to do this. Some ppl mentioned there’s a Gemach already. The more the merrier! Until every child has what they need. Perhaps if there’s overstock from this order it can go to the gemach.
I think the local coat gemach consists of used but good condition coats as well as some new donated ones. That is both new ones and decent second-hand ones. Still very good option.
This is so nice. Lubavitchers doing good with their money, here’s an example. Kol hakavod! G-d bless!!!!
These are new not gmach ty
