Irgun Torah’s Kiddush hachodesh lecture series, exploring the Jewish calendar and the lunar/solar cycle, got off to a successful start Sunday evening, with shiurim in Bais Eliezer Yitzchok and 770 Eastern Parkway.
The series of Shiurim on Hilchos Kiddush Hachodesh will take place this week with world-renowned Rabbi Yosef Losh at 9:45 pm in Hebrew at 770 and Dr. Gavriel Drukier, PhD in Astronomy at 7:15 pm in Beis Eliezer Yitzchok.
Dr. Gavriel Drukier, with a PhD in Astronomy, a lecturer at Yale University, gave a class on Sod Ha“ibbur” and Kiddush Hachodesh from an astronomical and historical perspective.
Rabbi Yosef Losh gave an overview and introduction of Kiddush Hachodesh in Hebrew in 770.

The rest of the week, Dr. Gavriel Drukier will speak in English in Beis Eliezer Yitzchok (394 Kingston) on top of Mikveh Meir at 8:15 pm.
Monday, will also be featuring Rabbi Chananya Hoffinger who will be giving an eye-opening lecture on the sun and moon cycles and their relationships and movements. The lecture is at 394 Kingston Ave. at 9:15 pm.
On Tuesday – Thursday Rabbi Yossi Keller will speak on the length of the solar system.
This will focus on Intro and overview in English, as well as Perakim 12-17 Monday thru Thursday at 8:15 pm.
Rabbi Losh will speak for the rest of the week in Hebrew at 9:45 PM at 770.
