Jack Bloom, who has 30 years of experience in investment banking and management, is coming to Crown Heights to explain the same principles that he taught to classes of students at NYU.
Participants will be eligible to receive a scholarship for a course in setting up a small business to be run in Crown Heights over the summer.
It will be held for men and women on Sunday, June 26, 4-6 pm, at the Besht Center, 510 Empire Boulevard.
Titled “The Nuts and Bolts of Entrepreneurship,” Bloom will be addressing what it takes to open and run a small business, how do you know if your idea can ever make money, how to find investors and running the books so the IRS will never be down your back.
The lecture is sponsored by the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council the Geshem Center, a new organization offering career opportunities and professional development for individuals in the Crown Heights community, and COLlive.com.
For information email: [email protected].
Would love to hear the lecture!
please tell me that you have accounted for women wanting to attend….(dah).
anyone know?
I actually know the guy, he is MIT and Harvard graduate – originally from Boston. He is top guy in this field.
Sounds like a good idea. I know many who have their own businesses. Getting info on how to run things above the table so the IRS doesn’t shut you down is a wonderful idea.
Congrats to the community, R’ Mendel, Besht and anyone else behind this amazing event. I hope the community will take advantage of this great event. There should be many many more. Get out and support this awesome program
Is this for free?
i’ll see you there
