I was just wondering if I should invite a couple to our meal and to hear shofar at our house. The Rebbe’s letter answered my question.

b’h The telegram of the Rebbe which i read this week regarding driving to shul for the purpose of any mitzvah – prompted the comment : about inviting a couple to hear shofar at your house on Rosh Hashanah – i assume you mean that the couple would be driving. According to halacha in general, of course it is not permitted.
