Mrs. Anita Schorr, a Holocaust survivor and recent Baalas Teshuva, relates her very moving and emotional story at the last National Jewish Retreat.
Mrs. Schorr was only 13 when she was first sent to Auschwitz and then later to Bergen-Belsen. Fortunately, through a shrewd mother and a couple of unexpected acts of humanity by SS soldiers, she managed to survive.
Here she recalls her horrifying experience and how, many years later, she has found renewed hope through her encounters with Chabad at Chabad Lubavitch of Westport, CT, directed by Rabbi Yehudah Leib and Nechama Dina Kantor.
