Hi Boys and Girls! Welcome back to “History’s Heroes” where we learn about our favorite Jewish Heroes and craft, paint, or experiment, along the way!
Highlight: Devorah
Devorah was one of the seven Nevi’os (prophets), and she was the only female judge to govern the Jewish people. She was the wife of Lappidot, which means “torches” or “flames.” This reflects Devorah’s passionate dedication to Hashem. Just as a torch ignites everything in its vicinity, Devorah’s fervor to serve Hashem similarly inspired those around her.
During Devorah’s leadership, there was a significant war that the Jewish people miraculously won. As a token of gratitude to Hashem, Devorah burst into song. To commemorate this significant historical moment, we will decorate a creative piano-themed s’mores treat in the kitchen. This fun and delicious project will involve melting rich chocolate, stacking graham crackers, and adding fluffy marshmallows to assemble our delightful piano. Get ready for a hands-on experience as we learn the steps to create and enjoy this sweet tribute to Devorah and the Jewish people’s song!
Please join our contest, where we raffle off 2 Tickets to the Jewish Children’s Museum, when a completed project (picture or video) is sent to [email protected] . Hatzlacha J
