Bryna Sudak, an 11th grade student at Bais Rivkah High School in Crown Heights, wrote a spoken-word poem called ‘Flames,’ explaining a concept in Chassidus for a school project.
Sudak created the presentation for a school competition to show a concept in Chassidus (in either art or writing) and make it practical for daily life.
“I chose to make a poem and video on the Rebbe’s answer to why and how Hashem could give us so much pain, if He’s our father and supposedly loves us at the same time,” Sudak explains. “Most specifically, the poem refers to the war and terror in Israel, which really touched me.”
Sudak was the winner of the competition for her moving and powerful video. Watch it below.

I just watched the most incredible video! It was truly beautiful and inspiring. The message of empowerment for young girls was palpable throughout. The way it showcased their strength, resilience, and individuality was uplifting and motivating.
