Camp MTC in Clayton, GA was honored to welcome Rabbi Yossi New, Head Shliach to the state of Georgia, to camp.
Rabbi New drove the 2 hours from Atlanta and addressed the 250 campers and staff, 65% of which are children of Shluchim.
“Thank you for your invitation,” Rabbi New wrote. “My wife and I were very impressed with the camp both Bgashmius and Bruchnius. My grandchildren and the Atlanta children we know are loving the camp. Kol Hakavod to you and your staff!”
Machaneh Tzeirei Chassidim defied all odds. 250 campers plus staff enjoyed a spectacular 6 weeks in camp this summer!
Despite it being a first-year camp, the short time frame, and no funding, camp thrived and was a spectacular success.
The boys’ smiles said it all; it was worth all the energy and every penny. Color war, color run, banquets and song filled the camp air as the boys soaked in the last minutes with their friends. Many will be heading home and not encounter frum friends for a long time.
You can help continue to #defytheodds.
Today, Thursday, we are holding a $75,000 Charidy campaign to successfully cover the camp expenses.
As a first-year camp, along with renting a facility, many unexpected expenses came up leading to the shortfall. Your input would mean so much to us.
