An anti-Semitic message was discovered in the Crown Heights neighborhood on Monday, which is deeply offensive to its Jewish community.
A Jewish resident discovered the message “Hitler is great” written in chalk on a sidewalk on Eastern Parkway, between New York and Nostrand avenues.
“This is getting real bad,” the resident who lives nearby told COLlive.com.
He said that he called the New York Police Department to report the case. “Called the cops over an hour ago no one showed up,” he said.
In response, the Anti Defamation League (ADL) said: “Aware of this incident and reaching out to authorities to find out more.”
Police wouldnt do anything even if they showed up because they would not want to stir up anything by making out they are defending white jews. No bail law means no one could be arrested and stay in jail

I’m sure a white supremacist is the person behind this, definitely not a black person. This just goes to show that we need less police, as the police presence clearly encourage white people and their racist ways!

Wow. Why is this newsworthy. It’s chalk. There are bad people in the world, also kids do stupid things. Bad kids do really stupid things.

Someone could have added some words to modify what was written on the floor. ex: Hitler is ___ great ____ _____.
This is an opinion. why is someone else’s opinion an issue?
Defacing public property IS a crime. Even if it said something you liked.
We say Haman just so that we can drown out his name with noise. Maybe writing in chalk on sidewalk is similar – wiping his name away.

All speech is equally protected, whether it’s loving or hateful. All laws must be viewpoint neutral.
Incitement is a different matter, but “Hitler is great” is not incitement. Even “Kill the Jews” is not incitement, unless it is BOTH subjectively intended AND objectively likely that whoever reads it will IMMEDIATELY commit a crime, blindly obeying the instruction without even thinking about it and making their own decision. All three of these elements are necessary, or it is simply not incitement.

The city is officially allowing giant graffiti on Fifth Avenue, and it’s not allowing the police to enforce the laws against graffiti when it says “black lives matter” or “F the police” or things like that, so how can they enforce the law just because it says something we don’t like? We have freedom of speech in this country, so the government can’t discriminate between different opinions. If some graffiti is tolerated then all must be tolerated. Otherwise you’re punishing an opinion.

Are there Video Cameras on the houses in front to see who wrote it? And Crime is rising in every category daily, The streets are not safe, Each day has more and more shootings in NYC & in Brooklyn, There are 2 types of Neighborhoods throughout NYC.
