Happy First Day at Bais Chaya Mushka Los Angeles

Bais Chaya Mushka Los Angeles students were welcomed back to school for another year of learning, growing, and connecting. Students were welcomed back warmly by the dedicated staff of Mechanchos, principals, and administrators. The grand entrance was decked out with a balloon installation infusing the return from the summer break with a joyful and upbeat energy, introducing the year’s Shnas Hakhel theme: Better Together.

While the theme is obviously about unity, the Bais Chaya Mushka administration emphasized that communities are made up of individuals and that the health and wholeness of each individual coming together makes up a truly healthy and wholesome community.

As a moisad named after the Rebbetzin, the faculty strives to show the kindness and sensitivity that the Rebbetzin showed to all those who crossed her path. In keeping with this sensitivity, a great emphasis continues to be placed on student wellness in all areas of emotional, social, and mental health, meeting the needs of the growing BCMLA community.

This year, the school welcomes Gitty Meyers LCSW as the head of their wellness team and Mrs. Pamela Marcus MFT, who will work alongside her to establish the Wellness Department of Bais Chaya Mushka. The Wellness Department will be active and available throughout each day and will aim to meet the ever-evolving needs of the student body, that is, each and every individual girl.

Bnos Chabad is a strong school component, and four girls will be working full-time to infuse the talmidos with chayus and programs to strengthen hiskashrus during and after school.

Bais Chaya Mushka strives to tune in to the needs of its students, ringing in Shnas Hakhel as a community made up of healthy and wholesome students, coming together with their personal strengths and unique gifts to celebrate individuality and, in turn, unity.
