Hail rained on some parts of New York City Monday evening during a lightning storm that also caused some street flooding.
A severe thunderstorm warning had been issued for Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens until 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
The National Weather Service issued the warning for the three boroughs around 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Wind gusts of up to 50 mph are possible during the storm, and the areas could see quarter-sized hail, they said.
