An overflowing crowd from around Washington State attended this year’s eighth annual Jewish unity event, entitled “One People, One Heart—An Evening of Unity & Inspiration Celebrating the Teachings & Impact of the Lubavitcher Rebbe.”
The event was held at the Westin Hotel in Downtown Seattle in honor of the 31st anniversary of Gimmel Tammuz, the Rebbe’s yartzeit.
The event was hosted and organized by the Shluchim of Washington State and created and directed by Rabbi Shmuly Levitin of Chabad of Downtown Seattle.
The Master of Ceremonies was Shlucha Chaya Levitin of Chabad of Downtown Seattle.
The powerful JEM film “What is your job description” was played to open the evening.
Washington State’s Head Shliach, Rabbi Sholom Ber Levitin, led the reciting of the Rebbe’s Kapital along with words of welcome and blessing. Adam Balkani, a member of the Seattle Jewish community, led the recital of Kapital Chof for the protection of the Jewish people around the world.
The Keynote Address was delivered by Rabbi YY Jacobson, an international speaker and dean of The Yeshivah.net with an address entitled: “Unbreakable – Fostering Jewish Pride & Resilience In Turbulent Times – The Rebbe’s Guidance for Today’s World.”
His words left a deep mark on participants, inspiring them to strengthen their commitment to living Jewishly and proudly as inspired by the Rebbe.
