Marcus Molinaro, the 2018 Republican candidate for Governor of New York, paid a visit to the Rebbe’s Ohel in the Old Montefiore Cemetery in Cambria Heights, Queens, on Tuesday.
“Today, we knew how important it was to break from the campaign, pray and ask for a blessing – on our world, our nation, state and our families,” Molinaro said in a statement to COLlive.com.
As customary, the Dutchess County Executive wrote down a request for blessings and placed it at the holy Jewish site which is visited by Jewish and non-Jewish people from around the globe.
He was accompanied by Rabbi Hanoch Hecht, head of the Rhinebeck Jewish Center in Rhinebeck, NY and director of Chabad of Dutchess County, and his brother Rabbi JJ Hecht II, Executive Director – Toys for Hospitalized Children.
After leaving the Rebbe’s Ohel, Molinaro stopped by the gravesite of his friends’ grandfather, Rabbi JJ Hecht OBM, a confidant of the Rebbe who led the National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE).
Molinaro is facing Governor Andrew Cuomo, described by the New York Times as “the two-term Democrat with a gargantuan campaign war chest and millions of energized Democratic voters in a solid blue state.”
In a recent profile, the New York Times portrayed Molinaro as “young, energetic and accomplished, having once been elected the youngest mayor in the country in Tivoli, the Hudson Valley village where he came of age.”

A fan!
This Democrat Cuomo got to go, hes anti trump anti America, like he said America was never great.
Everyone has the obligation to vote red.
This is an important election. We should all make it our business to vote for Marc Molinaro for Governor and Chele Farley for Senate. Vote for them in the Republican column — or in the Conservative column to make an even stronger point.
Is there increased security at the Ohel now? Someone who is armed?
Oh thats too bad. I already voted mostly democrat in my absentee ballot
hope he wins
Looking good
Republicans only!!!!!
Great work. Hatzlocho Rabah.
