359 Chabad teachers, educators and principals spent Yud Beis Tammuz, celebrated as the day of the liberation of the Rebbe Rayatz from Communist prison, in a most fitting pursuit: by focusing on education.
Knowing the Rebbe Rayatz’s self-sacrifice to the education of Jewish children, the participants of the fourth annual Kinus Mechanchos Chabad met to discuss pressing educational questions.
The two-day Chinuch Convention and retreat is organized by the Menachem Education Foundation (MEF) and is taking place at the Crowne Plaza in Stamford, Connecticut, for educators from 79 schools in 62 cities on 5 continents.
The comprehensive program includes over 40 sessions and workshops, on topics ranging from the Rebbe’s views on Chinuch to classroom management, from teaching Kriah to technology and sensory integration in the classroom, and much more in between.
The highlight of the first day was the Chinuch Banquet, broadcast for teachers around the world and on COLlive.com.
Later, they joined for a special Yud Beis Tammuz Farbrengen, led by Rabbi Shimon Raichik of Los Angeles, CA.
The Convention will conclude today with a Pan Kloli that is read at the Ohel.
Thanks for giving our teachers the tools to help them continue to succeed
