As Shluchim from around the world gather in Crown Heights for this year’s Kinus HaShluchim, JLI coordinated a full day of focused sessions designed to strengthen Shluchim’s capacity as Torah educators.
“As Shluchim, we are constantly turned to for clarity and direction, be it global political issues or personal guidance,” said Rabbi Mendel Teldon, Shliach to Mid-Suffolk, New York. “It is incumbent upon us to provide the Torah perspective in a way that relates to the entire spectrum of Jews, without diluting the message.”
This year’s Mivtza Torah track, taking place this Thursday at Ohel Nosson, 580 Crown Street, brings together a stellar lineup of experienced voices in adult education and community leadership, including Rabbis Mordechai Dinerman, Mendel Dubrowski, Manis Friedman, Simon Jacobson, YY Jacobson, Mendel Kalmenson, Yosef Chaim Kantor, Sholom Moshe Paltiel, Yitzchok Schochet, and Naftali Silberberg.
The day’s sessions will address critical skills for modern Shlichus: guiding communities through the Israel conversation with confidence and sensitivity; teaching Chassidus to audiences beyond traditional circles; delivering powerful sermons that inspire action; and positioning Chabad Houses as the trusted address for Torah in every city.
The track reflects JLI’s broader mission to serve as Shluchim’s partners in Mivtza Torah. “We see ourselves as the address for Shluchim when it comes to Mivtza Torah,” said Rabbi Shmuli Karp, Director of JLI Flagship. “Our role is to provide the tools, training, and support so that every Shliach can bring high-quality Torah learning to their community.”
Beyond the sessions, JLI invites Shluchim to visit the JLI office throughout the Kinus weekend. Shluchim are welcome to explore special Mivtza Torah offerings, exclusive in-person deals, and brand-new resources designed to support year-round outreach efforts.

biggest most important thing. If you are a Torah leader you need to respond to jews. You need to be the one to reach out to jews. How much more so when a jew reaches out to you do you need to respond. I can’t count the number of leaders who have ignored me.
