NY Governor Kathy Hochul welcomed Jewish community leaders and elected officials from across New York State to the Executive Mansion in Albany on Monday afternoon for her annual Chanukah party.
At the event, the Governor signed legislation to establish a New York State memorial at the Governor Nelson A. Rockefeller Empire State Plaza in Albany to recognize victims and survivors of the Holocaust. Amid a rise in antisemitism in New York State and across the nation, the memorial will educate students and the public about the Holocaust and serve as a reminder of the dangers of antisemitism, racism, and all manifestations of intolerance.
“With the first-ever state-sponsored Holocaust Memorial, we are honoring the victims and survivors of the Holocaust while ensuring that all visitors have a place to remember and reflect on what the Jewish community has endured,” Governor Hochul said. “New York has zero tolerance for hate of any kind, and with this memorial, we reaffirm our commitment to rooting out antisemitism and ensuring a peaceful and thriving future for all.”
In attendance from Crown Heights was activist Chanina Sperlin. The event brought together a diverse group of Jewish activists, officials, and representatives of organizations from throughout the state to celebrate the holiday of Chanukah and recognize the contributions of New York’s Jewish communities.

1) Where is the NYS funding for Kingsbrook to fix Synagogue roof ?
2) Why isn’t Assemb Cunningham organizing a meeting between Shul and Hospital trustees to let the Shul back into Synagogue for Chanukah ?
Answer: Because the Assemb takes pics with prominent Jews which give him the Jewish Seal of Approval so he need not do anything
