This novel idea was started in November 2020, when Nechama Laber, collaborated with Rochi Shemtov, Shlucha in Uruguay, to develop an online program called Circles to connect girls and women. In August 2021, JGU expanded into offering G.R.O.W. Connection Circles for several groups of women who meet weekly to connect through meaningful prayer, forging a healthy mindset, educational methods, parenting, and leadership development.
“The goal of The Connection Project is to support women, girls, educators, and families worldwide to connect meaningfully with their “Creator, core, community” in order to nurture spiritual-emotional growth”, says Nechama Laber, JGU Global Director
Suri, a G.R.O.W. Circle member from Canada, remarked:
“I connected with women who empower me emotionally and spiritually. They helped me clarify my goals and show up as my authentic self, which [also ]has an impact on my children. I hope we can give this love and support to many more women and girls; it would be tremendous!”
