On motzei shabbos, Gan Academy Yeshiva boys grades Pre-1A through 3rd grade were joined by their fathers for a special melave malka in honor of Yud Tes Kislev.
The melave malka, with over 45 in attendance, was hosted at Gan Academy’s new yeshiva building on Eastern Parkway.
The event was organized and led by menahel, Rabbi Mendel Kugel, and rabbeim Rabbi Yisroel Noach Blank, Rabbi Mendy Karp, and Rabbi Bentzion Sheinberger.
Tables were set with beautiful class projects designed and decorated by each of the grades, portraying their learning and hachanos for Yud Tes Kislev.
Fathers and sons learned a sicha together and filled out hachlata cards in honor of Rosh Hashana LaChassidus. Making the evening even more special, a Gan Academy Tanya was printed and a yeshiva-wide Tanya Ba’al Peh learning initiative was kicked off at the melave malka.
To close the evening, students and their fathers enjoyed a meaningful farbrengen led by Rabbi Kugel and rabbeim, and featuring live music played by Gan Academy sports coach, Shevach Tamir. A fleishig meal with kasha was served.
