30 people who work in the U.S. high tech industry, and live in Tenafly, New Jersey, visited Lubavitch Headquarters – 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn as a preparation for Yud Shvat.
Participants of the group regularly attend the Tanya class at Lubavitch on the Palisades delivered by Rabbi Yitzchak Gershovitz, the director of adult education who works with the Hebrew speaking residents.
In honor of the day that the Rebbe accepted the leadership of Chabad-Lubavitch, they held a shiur in the main shul of 770, learning in-depth the Maamar Basi L’gani.
“It was an extraordinary expirience for them,” said Rabbi Gershovitz, who accompanied the group along with Rabbi Mordechai Shain, Executive Director of Chabad of Tenafly.
They davened in the Rebbe’s room and later danced with a few 770 bochurim.
“Without a doubt it had a deep impact on them and rekindled their Jewish spark,” Gershovitz added.
