Camp Emunah, the veteran Lubavitch girls camp located in New York’s Catskills, has added a number of new programs and amenities as it marked its 60th year under the slogan “Sensation 60.”
Camp activities will now include the highly popular Zumba, Yoga and gymnastics classes, led by visiting professional instructors.
After these physical exercises, campers will be able to return to their bunk houses to cool off and enjoy a cold drink or snack as each bunk in the camp will be equipped with their own brand new refrigerator.
“The new refigerators are really an exciting addition to our camp,” said Rabbi Shmully Hecht, Associate Director of the camp.
It seems like the camp in Greenfield Park, NY, is more popular than ever these days, with the Teen Camp already full for the first session and limited spaces available for the second session.
With counselor positions still available, the camp has announced that Rabbi and Mrs. Chaim Schochat will be the Ruchhnius directors for Emunah Jr. Camp. Mrs. Yehudis Bluming, a Shlucha at the University of North Carolina, will be the Ruchnius director of the Teen Camp.

Why are we always negative, As a director of a camp. I think those of you who criticize this camp, really owe Emunah a big apology. First each one of you should start by some thing nice either to the camp or the Hechts. If you think you could do a better Job don’t criticize. #2 and #9 and anyone else who wants to find the negative in so many different things. Let me guess. You stay in your houses and learn every second. You have nothing to do with the world at large. You turn away whenever you see a billboard. and, most of all, you see no value in exercize or being active, because it is ‘goyish’.
Reading some of these comments that show the lack of education amongst people in Lubavitch/Chabad is becoming very cumbersome

To all of you who were given two left eyes and always see the negative in everything, you need a real good dose of true Ahavas Yisroel. I just spoke with Reb Hecht and obviously everything is being introduced with yiddishe Chasiddishe music.
In the only camp the Rebbe ever visited. Use your time highlighting positve things in others.

as long as the yoga/zumba is aligned with torah values and standards otherwise,camp emunah will be responsible for instill traces of tumah in these young neshamas…just saying…

so happy that our daughters are finally being introduced to Yoga.
The Rebbe worked so hard to have Yoga integrated in our curriculum, to finally see his labor give fruits is very heartwarming.
