Free CPR and AED training classes will take place in Crown Heights, made available through a local initiative sponsored by the ODA.
The program aims to equip participants with simple, practical skills that can make the difference between life and death in an emergency. Organizers emphasize that anyone can learn, and that immediate action in critical moments can save lives.
The training focuses on “hands-only” CPR and the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator), highlighting three key steps: call 911, push hard and fast in the center of the chest, and use an AED as soon as it becomes available.
The initiative stresses that every second counts in an emergency, and encourages community members of all backgrounds to be prepared and ready to act.
Classes are open to the public and designed to be accessible, with a message that “anyone can learn, anyone can help, and everyone can make a difference.”
Those interested in participating can register by scanning the QR code on the flyer below.
