This Sukkos, four Sukkah mobiles from Chabad of Park Heights in Maryland toured the city of Baltimore, attracting much attention from local Jews.
The traveling Sukkahs toured the city of Baltimore, which has one of the largest Jewish populations in the United States, visiting a Ravens game and local Shuls, schools, assisted living centers and house parties.
The Sukkah mobile project, under the leadership of Rabbi E. Lisbon, was started 9 years ago with one Sukkah mobile by Rabbi Shlomo Rothstein. Today, Shlomo’s brother Shmuel Rothstein coordinates four mobiles, which tour the city throughout the holiday.
Shmuel was very thrilled with this year’s success. “This year we had
an amazing turnout, and next year we plan to have even more Sukkah
Mobiles,” he said.
