Communicative, alive and cheerful are some of the descriptions that are noticeable in the students of R’ Yoske Levin’s FiveAlive program.
At times, the students come from places that are far from ideal, to the extent that their very lives may be in constant danger. But Baruch Hashem for Fearless Yoske, who in his unassuming, energetic, and friendly manner, takes on the responsibility to change the course of direction, giving the person another chance at life.
This is just the beginning, for Yoske remedies situations where therapists are most often not able to. His successful track record speaks for itself.
“How does Yoske accomplish this?” You may ask. The onlooker might say that it’s a combination of his chassidic lineage, his chassidic energy and his study and understanding of chassidus.
The real source of his success is his approach to the study of chassidus. As Yoske puts it, “When one studies chassidus, it must be his reality- not just a theory.”
He explains that when people learn chassidus and it remains theoretical, and their actual life does not reflect the chassidus that they learn, they often come to resenting Hashem, and feeling abused by Hashem. On the other hand, when Hashem is a lifestyle and chassidus is the book which shows how to make Hashem your lifestyle, the results are very different.
Just take a look at the glowing faces of Yoske’s students as they describe the practical end of what they learn in their own words; sparkling eyes, joi de vivre and vivacity are what you will see. A love for Hashem, life, chassidus and the Rebbe and a strong will to do anything to further the agenda of the Rebbe is what follows.
It’s incredible how Yoske takes youngsters suffering from all sorts of life circumstances, and turns them from figuratively drowning in the stormy seas of life into beacons of light to influence others to live the G-dliness of chassidus.
When it comes to considering Yoske’s approach to life, its not just those suffering who can benefit; really any individual who has yet to implement Hashem into their day-to-day life can gain from it.
One of the areas in life which is extremely fundamental and has far reaching affects, which the FiveAlive program influences is communication. Our communication skills play a big role in any social circumstances in which we find ourselves; whether we are amongst friends, acquaintances, and especially family.
Communication skills include patience; patience to listen and understand the other, patience to explain and elucidate, and patience to validate are some of the communicative necessities to commence the list. Unfortunately however, for some reason, real communication is hardly practiced.
With Yoske inserted into the picture, individuals and families alike can learn to communicate in a healthy manner, couples can learn to really appreciate each other with the same excitement like a continuous shana rishona, teachers and students communicate expectations, boundaries, abilities and challenges much more effectively, coworkers and employers create a positive environment.
Imagine a world where people primarily appreciate each other, instead of constantly correcting and disagreeing with each other.
This can be easily attained, with the assistance of R’ Yoske Levin and his signature FiveAlive educational program.
