Family and friends of Rabbi Yudi Dukes OBM, founder of JNet who passed away a year and a half ago, gathered for a joyous yet emotional event to dedicate a new Torah in his memory on Sunday.
The Torah was completed at the Dukes home, with the final letters written by Rabbi Dukes’ family.
The Torah was then led in a Parade procession to Chabad of the Five Towns, led by Shluchim Rabbi Zalman and Chanie Wolowik, followed by Dancing and Hakafot.
On this special occasion. May this beautiful new Torah get lots of use and bring Simcha and unity to the family and the community….I’m sure Yudi is smiling down and getting much nachas
