YSP began this year with an on time departure from Crown Heights. After the quick one hour bus ride, the Talmidim piled into the Zal, where Rabbi Goldberg greeted them with the traditional YSP speech. The Head Counselors, Sruli Steiner and Asher Farkash delivered their welcoming speeches, laying down the world famous high standards of the Yeshiva Summer Program.
Talmidim were then dismissed to their rooms, where they unpacked their belonging and supplies for the next seven weeks, and then made their way to the Zal for the first Tefillah of YSP: Mincha.
A delicious dinner followed, and then some more time was given to unpack, then Maariv, and before you could say YSP, the Talmidim were sound asleep, doors open, ready to charge their batteries for the next day – the first full day of YSP 5775.
